My daddy went to be with Jesus today at 8.51 am. Here are some of my reflections of him over the past few years. |

We started on two corporate videos for the Navigators - a project that would end up taking us almost seven months to do. |

Some one gave me a gift. I was able to make an unplanned for trip to Cebu to visit Au's family. |

I've started on the design and layout of the book I am writing about Aunty Say Bay and the Moken Sea Gypsies. |
| |
|
| April 11 |
Aunty Say Bay arrived in Singapore to help me work through the Moken book. |
| |
|
| May 7-12 |
I went to Camerons for rest and to do a report on the National University of Singapore Navigators camp. |
| |
|
| May 28 |
I had my first taste of a freelance writing assignment for a media company. I had been wondering for a long time how my writing measured with secular writers. It was an faith-stretching but exciting experience. It helped me gain more confidence in writing. |

|
| June 25 |
We completed our two corporate videos. What a journey! |

I had another opportunity do another writing assignment outside the Navigators. The book of Proverb says, "Lizards—they are easy to catch, but they are found even in kings’ palaces." I certainly felt like a lizard! Ask me to explain... |
| |
|
| July 18 |
I gave the Moken artwork to the printer... exactly two years ago on 18 July 2005, Aunty Say Bay arrived in Singapore - we started on the book together. |

How the Moken Sea Gypsies got their Book was delivered! A two year long journey. |

I joined a small writers support group. |
| |
|
| 29-31 |
I attended a Digital Story Telling workshop. I made a video, "My story behind the story" |
| |
|
| Sep 2-6 |
We went to Pulai Springs, Johore for the Navigator staff retreat. Jan Johnson ministered to us. It was a timely and refreshing reminder to "practise the presence of God." |
| |
|
| 7-10 |
My good friends Gorosan and Sanaesan came to Singapore. They stayed at Mum's. |
| |
|
| 13 |
My writers group came to my home for our meeting. |
| |
|
| 21-Oct 8 |
Mum and I made an adventurous trip to Japan, San Francisco and Colorado Spring to see Ruth Myers, my mentor and neighbour, who now resided in the Springs.
On the way back, I made a mistake with the time, so we missed our flight. We had to stay an extra night in the USA. Our plane entered the Singapore terminal exactly at midnight of Oct 8 (my birthday). |
| |
|
| 12-16 |
Au and I made a trip to Cebu. What an adventure it was. I was barely over jetlag. The airlines cancelled the flight without telling us... |
| |
|
| Nov 5-11 |
Ruth Heil from Germany, a volunteer who teaches English in Thailand, stayed at my home. She was here to renew her visa. I enjoyed getting to know this amazing 20-year-old. She reminds me of Aunty Say Bay. |
| |
I stepped down from the secretary post of the Writers Society after serving for one year. |
| |
|
| Dec 1 |
The Lord provided a gift so I could replace my 5-year-old computer which had died on me shortly after I completed the Moken book. |
