Celebrating 76

Mum celebrates her 76th birthday today. I've seen her grow to be more beautiful as the years go by. I love her more each day and pray that the Lord will give her many more good years of good health, peace and joy.

I put together this video for her. The songs were sung by my Dad.

If you are wondering why the long silence... I've been having problems uploading my blog and not able to fix the problem. I'll be surprised if this post gets put up.

In time I will probably change sites... no time yet to do it.

Light at the end of the tunnel

These have been tiring but exciting days. I am finally beginning to see some light at the end of my buzy tunnel.

My video project for the Navigators is completed. Well almost... whatever is on my part to do that is. It is now in the good hands of our video producers to do the finishing touches. It has been some steep learning curve (but fun) pulling it together from figuring out what needs to be in the script to being there for the shoots, and also the editing.

I am also at the tail end of my two-year journey writing my 220 page book. There is still the proof reading and cleaning up to do. But I can see how it will look already. Wow!

Although I still have my regular work to do, I am looking forward to a more sane schedule. I sure could do with rest.

You cannot outgive Father

Early this month, I got to know about a friend's financial needs. She asked to borrow S$1K. I prayed about it, and decided in the end to give it to her. I couldn't see how she would be able to repay it, and I didn't want money to become an issue in our friendship.

I have to admit that it was not an easy thing for me to do, but I felt that was what Father wanted me to do. I was happy to do it out of love for him and for my friend.

On 21 May, I got an email from someone. He said he was sending me S$2K as a gift to me -- double of what I gave away! Now I not only got what I gave away back, but I also got money to cover for the remaining dental treatment that I need done.

You cannot outgive Father. What a joy to know experience his personal care.
